Sight for All Visit to Bhutan
Dr Galanopoulos’s role as teacher and mentor has recently taken her to Bhutan. There she had the opportunity to meet up again with the Sight For All inaugural Glaucoma Fellow, Dr Deki. After working together for 12 months in Adelaide, they remained in close contact, providing mentoring and support on Dr Deki’s return to her homeland.
This trip also represented an opportunity for Dr Galanopoulos to take across eye equipment and instruments donated by Sight For All, which were needed by Dr Deki to continue her work in preventing blindness from glaucoma, in Bhutan.
